An unique sound experience through up groove tempos, a touch of
Mediterranean sun and a crossroad of three different cultures. What happens
when an Indian sitar meets the Armenian Duduk (flute) and a violin an ancient
Greek lyre is not so easy to describe. Just let yourself to enjoy and feel what
music emotions is all about.
The dexterous musicians of the Reggetiko Project change roles and
meet the mysterious dj Dest for a one of a kind music experience to the cosmic
awareness.
Το Reggetiko project
αποτελεί μια μουσική συνάντηση ανάμεσα σε άτομα με πολύ διαφορετικά μουσικά
υπόβαθρα και παραστάσεις με κοινό γνώμονα την αγάπη τους για δημιουργικές
συζητήσεις - αυτοσχεδιασμούς με σκοπό τη όσο το δυνατόν άμεση συνδιαλογή των
μελών της. Tο αποτέλεσμα της συλλογικής αυτής έκφρασης έχει πειραματικό
χαρακτήρα και αντιμετωπίζει την μουσική και τον αυτοσχεδιασμό ως ένα τρόπο
επικοινωνίας ανάμεσα στους ανθρώπους που όσο απλοϊκός, περίπλοκος, ευχάριστός ή
δύσπεπτος μπορεί να γίνει, πρέπει πάντα να χαρακτηρίζεται από αμοιβαίο
αλληλοσεβασμό και ειλικρίνεια.
Πριν από δυόμιση χρόνια κυκλοφόρησε την πρώτη
του δισκογραφική δουλειά με τίτλο "Music Conversations",
την οποία παρουσίασε τον Οκτώβρη στο Παλέρμο της Σικελίας ενώ ακολούθησε
σειρά εμφανίσεων σε Αθήνα, Κωνσταντινούπολη και Freiburgh με τη
συμμετοχή του στο Φεστιβάλ Ξαρκής στην Κύπρο τον Ιούλιο 2015 (ανάμεσα
σε άλλες εμφανίσεις σε Λευκωσία, Πάφο και Λεμεσό). Ο δεύτερος δίσκος, με τον
τίτλο Knot, κυκλοφόρησε το περασμένο Μάϊο και παρουσιάστηκε για πρώτη
φορά στο ιστορικό GitarCafe της Κωνσταντινούπολης ενώ ακολούθησε σειρά
εμφανίσεων σε Κοζάνη, Θεσσαλονίκη, Σέρρες, Ρόδο, Δράμα (Tentart
Festival) και Symviosis festival (Μυτιλήνη). Φέτος τον Ιανουάριο
παρουσίασε τον δεύτερο δίσκο σε σειρά εμφανίσεων στην Κύπρο
ενώ πλαισίωσε μουσικά την ξεχωριστή παράσταση καραγκιόζη του Θοδωρή
Κωστιδάκη στο θέατρο Ριάλτο στη Λεμεσό. Ολοκλήρωσε ήδη τις ηχογραφήσεις
για τον τρίτο του δίσκο με την συμμετοχή του Grammy awarded πολύπειρου μουσικού Milcho
Leviev να ξεχωρίζει ενώ αναμένεται να κυκλοφορήσει μέσα στην επόμενη
χρονιά. Στα τέλη του Μάη 2017 παρουσίασε το υλικό αυτό στη Βόννη, στο
Άαχεν και την Κολωνία της Γερμανίας ενώ ακολούθησαν προγραμματισμένες
εμφανίσεις σε φεστιβάλ ανά την Ελλάδα, με τελευταία στο ΚΩΘ Underground στη
Θεσσαλονίκη και το Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών.

Βότσκος (πνευστά), Κουμαρτζής Θεόδωρος (μπαγλαμάς, μελόντικα), Λίνος
Τζέλος (κιθάρα), Μάριος Ποδάρας (βιολί) και Νίκος Βαρελάς (cajon).
Project Reggetiko is a musical meeting between
people with very different creative roots, who share the same love for creative
improvisation and direct musical interaction. The result is an
experimental, collective form of expression that treats music and improvisation
as a way of communication between people. Our philosophy is that simple or
complex, music making should always be characterized by mutual respect and
honesty.
Four and a half years ago, its first album "Music
Conversations" was published and was successfully presented to Palermo of
Sicily with Istanbul, Athens and Freiburg to follow. Xarkis Festival at Cyprus
(July of 2015) was the last stop before the recordings of their second album
named "Knot" that was first presented to the great "Gitarcafe"
live stage of Istanbul a year ago and more concerts to Kozani, Thessaloniki,
Serres, Rhodes, Drama (Tentart Festival) and Symviosis Festival at Lesvos,
where RP played also at Karatepe and Moria refugee camps, to follow. Last
January they had the opportunity to accompany Kostis's Kostidakis Shadow
Theater at Rialto concert hall at of Lemesos (Cyprus) while the third album is
on work, with the participation of the legendary grammy awarded Bulgarian
pianist Milcho Leviev and expected to be ready before the end of the year.
Last year's concert highlights the official European Music Day at the Museum of
Mastiha of Chios and their participation at Domna Samiou festival at the
Concert Hall of Athens (Megaro Mousikis). At 19th of June, they will
participate at the Ethno Jazz Festival of Thessaloniki and at the middle of
July they will present their third album at the Rialto World Music Festival at
Cyprus.
Upon listening to Reggetiko Project last album, Knot, one
immediately has the feeling a story is being told. A story of people and their
travels, onto which one cannot help submerging. The atmospheric tunes, and the
refreshing and at times melancholic chords will take you through the streets of
Greek cities. From the Mediterranean dawn to warm Arabian nights. A flawlessly
